Each week we shoot a different course. We are very fortunate to have a mix of native bush, pine forest, gum forest and open grassland – all of which are utilised to create imaginative and diverse archery courses.
Distance to the target is either Marked (there’s a sign stating actual distance) or Unmarked (you have to judge for yourself). Each target has multiple pegs at different distances from the target; as you become more experienced you progress to the more challenging pegs.
Although scoring methodology varies slightly between course, it’s simple to understand. You will always be paired up with an instructor and/or more experienced archer who will guide you on the finer points of the game; where to stand, what to shoot, how to score, etc.
There is also a Practice Range where you can make as many mistakes as you like while you work on your form. The following pages describe our different courses/rounds:
